Girls’ 2nd XI v Sevenoaks

Saturday 10th November 2012
Result: Lost 4-0
Review: November is a month renowned as the season for illness and with that being said the 2nd XI girls approached their forthcoming game with optimism. After managing to catch the majority of the 1st XI game, we were able to suss out some of the Sevenoaks secret setups!. We dominated the beginning of the game, giving Sevenoaks something to fear. We fought well throughout the first half, playing some of the best hockey thus far in the term. We found ourselves only 1-0 down at half time and when you take into consideration the vast amount of girls at Sevenoaks, we were doing extremely well. Unfortunately, Sevenoaks fought back hard in the second half, but we did extremely well to hold ourselves in the game. A special mention must be made to Olivia Schwier who played 2 whole matches consecutively. Although we lost 4-0, we gained a lot of confidence as a team and played some excellent hockey and the score did not reflect the superb effort.

Girls' U15 B v Sevenoaks

Saturday 10th November 2012
Result: Lost 4-0
Review: On Saturday, the 10th of November 2012, the U15 B-Team played Sevenoaks School at home. We had a great start and began the match with real enthusiasm. The Sevenoaks girls pulled ahead and managed to score three goals! So we ended the first half with a score of 0-3. But nevertheless, we were highly motivated for the second half and improved. The Sevenoaks girls still managed to score another goal, but we were clearly dominating the second half and therefore really pleased with ourselves, although the final score was 4-0 to Sevenoaks. Anna Rachmann was awarded player of the match because of her great effort, serving as an amazing mid player. Still, it was a real team effort and a fun game to play.
